A New Start

So... it's time for a new blog! I have one on my website, but it's a little dull. This blog will be more personal, and perhaps silly at times.

Now, I want to talk about my latest project. I'm in the process of writing my own album. Will it be any good? Probably not. I remember seeing questions like, "If you had to pick songs that represented your life, what songs would you pick?" I decided, hey, why not WRITE my OWN soundtrack (about my life).

I've got around 10-12 songs, all songs highlighting important events, times, and decisions in my life. Ten to twelve songs sounds like a lot, but some of these songs go back to 2005. Heh, I guess I only have that many songs to show for in the last four years.

I have no idea when I'll get this done. I'll get it done when creativity, time, and patience all somehow meet. I'm very critical of my own recordings, so it might be awhile. Some songs will just be acoustic, and some songs will have more than that. I might get some people to collaborate with me, but we'll see. I need to lay down the guitar parts before I do anything else.

Here's the tentative track list with the tentative song titles (in no particular order):

1. The Time Is Now
2. Last Place Finish
3. Winter
4. For You
5. The Only Way I Knew How
6. City By The Sea
7. Against The Tide
8. Days Of Our Lives
9. At Constant Speed
10. Coming Home
11. The End Of Outside
12. Along The Way

Four of the twelve songs are not fully written yet. It'll be interesting to see if I go back to my notebook and look for chords that I like, or if I'll try to start from scratch.

I'll write more about this when I have new developments.

I'm making it mandatory that I post a picture I've taken in every blog. Here are some recent pictures I took of downtown LA.
